Oberstar Optomistic About Jobs Bill

Congress is considering an economic recovery plan that would create more than 10,000new road and bridge jobs in Minnesota and channel more than over $400 million in assistance to local school districts. Congressman Jim Oberstar says their goal is to have it ready for President Obama to sign into law by the middle of February.
Oberstar, Chairman of the House Transportation Committee, says they are on track to create and save 3 to 4 million jobs.
Oberstar says the legislation could create jobs 90 days after it is passed.
