Rice Man Dies When Canoe Overturns
20-year old Timothy Maehren died Saturday afternoon when his canoe capsized on Fawn Lake northeast of Merrifield. 20-year old Joshua Seehusen was able to make it to shore and call for help. Crow Wing County divers found Maehren's body about 30 yards from shore in about 17 feet of water. Neither man was wearing a life vest.

I still can't believe your Gone. I believe it was all an accident but its hard to believe your actually gone. I grew up with you, and you were like my brother. i can remember all the good times we've had when our family's were together...whether if it were there at your mom and dad's or at my mom and dad's. You always made someone laugh wherever you went, or anything but that. I remember you and Larry the Cable guy, "Git-R-Done".. i will never forget that..even though it was annoyin but we all remember you by that , and we cant get rid of that. Now that your in a better place, nothing can harm you. Everyone loves you and misses you truelly. and will forever no matter what... I am not in town much, but i come to see you as much as i can. Being up at the cabin will never be the same without you... well just be happy and know that we're all thinkin about you all the time down here. I'll come visit you soon!...
