Gazelka Authors Wolf Hunting Bill

State Senator Paul Gazelka of Baxter authored the Wolf Hunting and Trapping Authorization bill, which passed out of the Senate Environment and Natural Resources Committee Tuesday.

Gazelka says the bill would authorize the Minnesota DNR to set a hunting and trapping season on wolves in Minnesota. The wolf is no longer on the endangered species list and Gazelka says the top predator is no longer considered threatened and now requires management.
