Woman Dies in Auto Mishap Near Merrifield

A woman died in a one car accident just west of Merrifield Tuesday night. 

The Crow Wing County Sheriff says her car left County Road 127 near Mollie Lake Road just before 9:30 p.m. 

The woman was declared dead when the ambulance, Nisswa Fire Department and Breezy Point Police arrived at the scene.   She was alone in her vehicle.

The female victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Lawmen say the vehicle was traveling westbound on County Road 127, when it entered the south ditch and collided with several trees.
