Gunfire at Brainerd Apartments

A the blast from a shotgun shattered the early morning quiet in Brainerd Tuesday.


A report from the public was turned in to police just before 6 a.m.
 
When lawmen arrived they found what appeared to be a fresh shotgun blast to a door at 324 South 5th Street.  The building contains a combination of businesses and residential apartments. 
 
Police do not believe anyone was inside where the door was shot.
 
Police have no motive for the act, and continue to investigate.
