Weekend Cycle Accident Claims G.V. Man

A motorcycle accident on County Road 8, just south of County Road 108 in Crow Wing County has taken the life of a 65-year-old Golden Valley man.  The accident happened around 5 p.m. Saturday.

The rider was part of a motorcycle club from the Twin Cities who were riding in the Brainerd lakes area.

The group was traveling south bound on County Road 8 when the motorcycle left the road and rolled several times. He was not wearing a helmet.

The name is being held pending notification of family.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.
North Ambulance, North Aircare, State Patrol, DNR and the Brainerd Fire Department assisted at the scene.
