Oberstar May Join Humphrey Institute
Minnesota Congressman Jim Oberstar is thinking about what he will do following 36 years in the U.S. Congress.
The University of Minnesota Humphrey Institute has expressed an interest in tapping in to his many years in developing transportation policy. Oberstar, outgoing Chairman of the powerful Transportation Committee indicates he may be interested as a visiting scholar, lecturer or author.
Oberstar was upset by political novice Chip Cravaack in November. Since then, Oberstar has said he wants to play a part in shaping public policy after leaving office in January
