Cass County Sheriff Race Set

Chief Deputy Tom Burch was the top vote-getter in the Cass County primary for Sheriff Tuesday. He will face Walker Police Chief Wayne Tennis in the November general election.

Burch grabbed 44 percent of the vote, or 2,630; Tennis 31 percent of the vote, or 1,875.

Deputy Sheriff Chris Thompson and Leech Lake Tribal Chief Garr Pemberton finished third and fourth.
