Staples Woman Arrested on Meth Charge

A 31-year-old Staples woman is expected to be arraigned today following a drug raid on her apartment Tuesday.

Lisa Ann Mertens was taken into custody on controlled substance charges.  Officers say they recovered a small amount of methamphetamine and other items they believed were used in the sale of the illegal, highly-addictive narcotic.

The raid was conducted by the Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force, and the Staples Police Department.
