Oberstar Campaign Stop

Congressman Jim Oberstar kicked-off his campaign for reelection this weekend, with a stop in Brainerd. He made an appearance at the Brainerd Library Saturday afternoon. On Sunday the DFL-er staged his annual “Ride with Jim” Bicycle ride through Baxter.

Oberstar stressed the importance of stimulating economic growth. He credits the stimulus package for the positive economic growth over the past year, noting the turnaround in the economy since over 650,000 jobs were lost last January:
