As You Know--Opener is Later This Year--

(AP) According to the State Department of Natural Resources, Walleye Opener will be later this year--on Saturday, May 15th. Following State Law, the Opener is set two Saturdays before the Memorial Day weekend. Statewide, Stream Trout season will open on Saturday, April 17th. The early catch-and-release Trout season opened in southeastern Minnesota on April 1st, and runs through April 16th.
