Sheriff Warns Hunters About Trespassing

Every Deer hunting season the Crow Wing County Sheriff's office fields calls about hunters who trespass on private land. Sheriff Todd Dahl says hunters need to scout the areas where they will be hunting before the season begins. He says ignorance is no excuse.

Sheriff Dahl is also urging hunters to use great care while entering deer stands. He says rifles should be empty before climbing into the stand, and stands should be in sound condition.
