Brainerd Water Chlorinated

The Brainerd water supply is being chlorinated. Brainerd Public Utilites Supervisor Tom Phelps says they discovered coliform bacteria late last week near the south 8th Street construction site. The pipes were flushed, and chlorine is being added today to treat the water mains.

Phelps says this is not an emergency, and consumers should not be alarmed.
