More Sanctions in Brainerd Download Case

The recording industry just won a nearly $2-million judgement against a Brainerd woman. Now, they are asking the court to make sure she never down-loads music again.

Jammie Thomas-Rasset was covicted of illegally downloading tunes and sharing it on the internet.

Recording industry lawyers are asking a federal judge to block her from both sharing copyright music and destroy all copies she previously made without authorization.

Last month, a federal jury ruled she violated the copyrights on 24 songs. However, recording industry lawyers claim she downlaoded some 1,700 songs.
