The Legislature Forwards Bill to Pawlenty

(AP) Governor Pawlenty is in receipt of a bill from the Legislature that links $1 billion in tax hikes to spending on schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. That bill is likely to get a swift veto from the Governor. The bill contains a mix of new taxes for top-paid Minnesotans, alcohol, and credit card companies that charge high interest rates to their customers.
