Brainerd Braces for a Blizzard

Our Brainerd Lakes Area is under a Winter Storm Watch Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning. K-Lakes Meteorologist Tony Schumacher says we could see blizzard like conditions. He expects the storm to be particularly powerful by the afternoon hours, which will make the afternoon drive difficult, and could result in the early dismissal of school.
Schumacher is expecting an inch or two of snow per hour with total accumulations of 8 to 11 inches. Combined with north east winds up to 30 miles per hour visibility could be down to zero.
