SUV - Bus Accident in Baxter

Snowy conditions contributed to a SUV-school bus collision in Baxter Thursday. The small SUV driven by a 17-year-old girl, lost control and struck the bus on County Road 48 and Evergreen Drive about 3:30 p.m. The bus had just picked up middle school students at Forest View School when the accident occurred. 34 students were on board at the time. Even though it was a head-on accident no one was injured.
An ambulance crew checked the condition of the SUV driver and found her uninjured.
While shaken, the students remained on the bus until they could be transferred to another and taken home.
