November Was Close to Average

November was a little warmer and dryer than normal around the Brainerd Lakes, according to K-Lakeas Meteorologist Tony Schumacher. He says all the clouds kept night-time temperatures warmer. As a result, the month was one to two degrees higher than usual. Precipitation was off a little more than a half inch. Schumacher says December should be fairly typical with temperatures about average, and maybe collecting 6-12 inches of snow. He says, if the forecast holds, winter enthusiasts should be able to get their snowmobiles on the trails by the end of the month.
