Tire Sales are Down as the Travel Season Begins

Tire sales are down, according to Kim Weber, spokesperson for the Rubber Manufacturers Association. She tells KLKS News, that's because of slack sales at car dealerships and tire stores. She says worn tires can become a safety hazard. Ms. Weber says tires represent four patches of rubber about the size of your hand, that separate you from the road.
