Pequot School Referendum Today

The polls are open for the $33 million bond referendum in the Pequot Lakes School District.  The same referendum failed last spring.

Middle School Principal Randy Hanson tells KLKS News, the elementary school has become over-crowded.  He says Eagle View was built seven years ago for 28 sections.  However, he says there currently are 32 class in the building.

The impact on a on a $200 thousand dollars house would be about $46 per year.

Voting is being held at the Pequot Lakes Senior High School and Crosslake City hall until 8 p.m.
