Mille Lacs Band Getting into the Wind Business

(AP) The public will get a glance of a new wind turbine manufacturing plant of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. The band is investing in a new type of turbine designed for homes and businesses. It's called the Windspire. It stands 30 feet tall and spins on a vertical axis, unlike the larger rigs seen on most wind farms.

The new manufacturing plant will be located in McGregor.
