Schumacher Suggests Square Foot Gardening

For gardeners looking for more efficiency in their vegetable garden, there is "Square Foot Gardening." K-Lakes Meteorologist and gardener Tony Schumacher says the gardens are made of four by four or eight by eight foot boxes. They are filled with weed-free dirt and compost. The box is divided into grids, and vegetables are planted in clumps.
Schumacher says they require a lot of water, but otherwise, less work.
