Hunter Accidentally Shot Near Brainerd

A hunter was accidental shot in the leg south of Brainerd on Saturday, according to Crow Wing County Sheriff Todd Dahl. He tells KLKS News, a young man was plinking with a 22 caliber rifle, when the hunter was struck. The Sheriff says it was an accident and the hunter will recover. Dahl wants remind shooters that there are lots of folks in the woods with the hunting seasons now, and care is required.
